The axis of resistance has turned into a major player not only in the region, but at the global level, Sheikh Ghazi Tusuf Hunaina said in an interview with IQNA.
It shattered the false image of the Israeli regime’s invincibility though the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation, he said, adding that the Gaza Strip, which is less than 350 square kilometers in area, has humiliated the regime with its resistance against brutal Israeli attacks.
The Islamic resistance in Lebanon has also humiliated Israel and strengthened the axis of resistance by helping its brothers in Gaza and with support from resistance movements in Iraq and Yemen, he stated.
The senior cleric referred to Palestine the key word in the future development of the world and said the resistance front reminded the world one year after the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation of the global status of Palestine and the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights.
Everyone knows that the issue of Palestine was being sidelined and the main achievement of the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation was returning it to the mainstream at the global, Arab and Islamic world levels, Sheikh Hunaina said.

He referred to the popular protests and university students’ movements in various countries, including in the West, against the Israeli regime’s crimes in Gaza and stressed that, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has said, Palestine will be the key to change in the world.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Sheikh Hunaina pointed to the start of a new era with the election of Sheikh Naim Qassem as the new secretary general of the Hezbollah resistance movement after the martyrdom of Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, and said Hezbollah is not a political party that can be weakened by the martyrdom of its leaders and commanders but it is a school of thought that will move forward powerfully.
He added that Sheikh Qassem will protect the accomplishments of Martyr Nasrallah and lead the movement toward the victory that Nasrallah had promised.
Asked about the recent presidential election in the US in which Republican Donald Trump defeated Democratic Kamala Harris, the Lebanese cleric said the United States’ Middle East policies do not change with the coming to power of Democrats or Republicans.

He said officials in both parties try to serve the Zionist regime’s interests, adding that neither a Democratic nor a Republican administration in the US will benefit Muslim nations.
